I got this product about 6 days back and am really happy with the product. Solid investment
I saw a smaller unit (the 2000) at Home Depot and was impressed on the amount of air it moved. I was looking for a solution for an outdoor patio area that faces west that can get pretty hot during the afternoon sunsets. After reading reviews I chose the 3000 model. With the super saver free shipping, I saved over $150 from the Tractor Supply that carried the unit locally.

The unit was easy to set up and is well contructed. The hose connection is somewhat cumbersome and can leak if you don't use a plumming wrench and some plummers tape to put it on. The misconception about this unit is that you don't need to have the hose on constantly or even hooked up for it to operate as it has a 16 gallon tank and can run for several hours in extreme heat without being refilled.

The unit acts as promised but expectations have to be managed in more humid climates or outside conditions. This does well for cooling straight line in front of the louvers (which tip up or down...

Cools the air as advertised
I have this model at work and it does a good job of cooling the air. It drops the air temp going thru the unit by 20 to 25 degrees. It provides great relief from the hot conditions inside the warehouse. I highly recommend this product where A/C is not possible.

It's great that it works right out of the box. It has made a big temperature difference for my cargo storage unit this summer. I store bags of seed that I don't want the high summer temps killing the germination. I only wish it had a hose connection to make it a perfect unit. I love it, it's cool.

Great customer service.
I work in an automotive shop and this thing worked great for the first couple of months. Then it started leaving little puddles on the ground. Then the puddles turned into a leak. Then the digital control pad on top started going crazy. This thing turns itself on and off, turns the pump on and off, drops the fan speed at times, and swings the vent direction whenever it wants to. When I bought it, not through Amazon BTW, I was told that the store had all parts to replace anything on it. When I took it to get it repaired, they said that they had to send it out and they didn't repair them at their store. This thing is very frustrating, but I guess it is a lesson learned and now I have to deal with it.
Update as of 6/18/2012. I contacted the manufacturer and they were very helpful. They sent me a digital control pad replacement. I put it on and the machine still did the same thing. I emailed back very frustrated and the guy that I emailed said that he would send me a new machine. I...

Item is quite large (and over-priced)but,hopefully will help beat the AZ heat without A/C help. Must admit that, on 1st use, nasty smell eminates...strangely like urine! However, cleaned pads immediately and smell greatly reduced. Unit not made in USA, so draw your own conclusions.
