That's pretty true with one exception. The spacer piece for the window has little holes to use for adjustment. Of course MY window width didn't work with any of the holes. That was no big deal, I just drilled a hole where I needed it and it fits fine.

The hose from the window to the unit is really heavy duty and makes it tough to get the plastic spacer to stay put. I'm glad the flexible hose is really tough as I'm sure it will eventually get stepped on...

I have the unit in the master bedroom, and I love it!!! I live in Las Vegas and have a 2900 sq ft house. What a cost savings to be able to cool one room without having to cool the whole house! I turn the unit on as I'm getting ready for bed. In 15 minutes or so, the room starts to cool down. By the time I'm ready for sleep, the room is comfy cozy.

Some things you should know about the Honeywell MM14CCS:

1. Although the unit has wheels and is advertised as portable, don't think you can simply roll it from room to room. A semi-flexible exhaust hose directs the hot air generated by the air conditioner to the outside. As a result, you need to have access to a window if you intend to use the cool option (the unit can also be used as a fan to circulate air or a dehumidifier).

2. The exhaust hose is somewhat cumbersome and requires that you allow for much more space than the 14 inch (or so) width of the actual unit. I suggest you allow at least 3 square...
