We just purchased this Fellowes 1-Outlet 3-Prong Heavy Duty Indoor Extension Cord, 15-Feet (99596), using the discount and the complimentary shipping after reviewing some of the prior testimonials prior to purchasing the product. So far so good. I am totally in love with this product from Fellowes, Made it the finest rate on the internet when we purchased it initially of this month.
Heavy Duty and Solid Quality
I have bought several of these...I've used them for air conditioners, refrigerators, microwave ovens, etc. I'm currently using one to supply power to a power strip that I have my coffee pot plugged into. It's a good dorm room cord mostly because it won't begin to overheat before a circuit breaker trips.
PROS:
15 AMP capacity; safe for all standard household loads that run on 15 AMP circuits, including air conditioners and portable space heaters (use caution with these to make sure that your connections are tight!)..
15 feet in length is suitable for most applications
color is neutral
Fellowes seems to be a reliable brand for power cables, based on several of these I've owned
CONS:
Price...I purchased these when Amazon had them for $10.90. I have seem them (the Fellowes brand in this length) elsewhere for $20.00 each PLUS shipping....I'd pay the $15 (current) price, but certainly not more.
